Asthashree Sustainability Foundation (ASF) is a purpose-driven, non-profit organization dedicated to sustainable development, social inclusion, and citizen empowerment. Rooted in grassroots action and guided by global frameworks such as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) principles, ASF works at the intersection of people, planet, and policy.

Founded under the leadership of Dr. Subhash Dalvi — a nationally recognized change-maker, environmentalist, and social reformer — ASF draws inspiration from decades of transformative work in Dharavi and other urban settlements, where community participation, behavioral change, and dignity-based development have proven to be powerful tools for nation-building.

ASF believes that sustainability is not a concept, but a culture. Through innovative programs in environment protection, sanitation, health, literacy, women empowerment, youth engagement, senior citizen welfare, disaster management, and capacity building, the Foundation nurtures informed, responsible, and resilient citizens.
